Dr. Kiesel began her career as a Navy dental officer at the United States Marine Corps base of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. She had assignments in Yokosuka, Japan, the Marine Corps Recruiting Center in San Diego, and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, before she entered private practice.
Dr. Kiesel maintained a general dentistry practice in Kensington, Maryland for more than 17 years before moving recently to Chevy Chase and joining the practice of Dr. Cohen. She is happy and excited to be working with Dr. Cohen and his exceptional staff, who have warmly welcomed her patients.
Dr. Kiesel grew up on a small dairy farm in northern Ohio. The Navy led her to Bethesda, where she and her husband, Dr. Michael Curran, remain. They are the happy and proud parents of two grown sons, Christopher and Carl. Outside of the office, Dr. Kiesel enjoys time with her family, traveling, cooking, and gardening.
She is also the caretaker of her grandparents’ farm in Ohio. Although she cannot be there often, she is working to maintain the old farmhouse in its original state and to be a good steward to the land and woodlands.
